The doctoral program in sociology prepares students for careers in research and teaching. While most of our graduates teach in colleges and universities, others hold research appointments in government agencies, medical and mental health centers, consulting firms, or other non-profit or research settings.
Students take foundational PhD-level courses in their areas of specialization, and then choose from a course list that spans the university, drawing from some of the best academic departments in the world.

Department of Philosophy The Yale Philosophy Department offers a wide range of courses in various traditions of philosophy, with strengths and a well-established reputation in the history of philosophy, ethics, metaphysics, epistemology, philosophy of art as well as other central topics.
This workshop is a forum for discussion about research in International Trade. Yale graduate students conducting dissertation research in issues related to International Trade are strongly encouraged to present their work. They need to discuss guidelines and scheduling with the seminar organizers.
